I cannot believe what can be passed off as a complete game these days.
Lets ignore the fact that I am once again forced to create an account to play my own game, fair enough, every game is doing that now.
It's the mind numbing amount of things that got through Beta that annoys me.
I start my game, oh that's odd, my cursor is continually flashing as if it wants to give me a seizure. Ok... I'll go check out the site, hmm its seems that's quite common, they will fix it when they have time, otherwise thanks for 60 bucks and try to ignore it.
Fine, I'll try to ignore it.
Hey this game ain't bad, that was a great boss fight. You have lost connection. Excuse me? That's right, if you lose connection to their unstable server you are immediately booted out of your single player campaign... geeesh I hope you recently saved. I have been playing for three hours and this has happened four times.
Fine! I'll play some multiplayer with some friends. What's this? No simultaneous turns, you cannot be serious!? Have I been transported back in time 10 years to the era of Civilization II? No? Then this makes online multiplayer unplayable.
And I know that the people who are not nodding to my review, are thinking they can just patch all of that. Ya know what? I am sick of half-done games being sold for full price and being given no date on when I can expect basic things, like a cursor that remains solid.
I wanted to love this game, I bought it on the first day it came out. But it's clear it needs another few months of development.
Wish I could comment on the missions, but I got sick of being booted out do to it claiming I lost connection.
